Default Punishing shot is hard to find.

I've looked in snake dance for the boss that I can cap punishing shot from. No dice.

I enter from snake dance and always find 3-4 bosses but never the one with punishing shot.

Punishing shot is worth going out of your way to get after Anet updated the skill to have a dis shot speed other than the original power shot duration. Kinda why its a staple of the ranger spike build. Dual, punishing, savage.

I always just find someone to run me to DD from Rankor. Zone in and out fron Snakes to DD until you see the boss. GG!

I had the pleasure of fighthing the whole way there, SS necro, myself, and henchies from Warcamp. Yes, like most, the boss I needed was the last one near the portal. Needless to say with patience, we slaughtered all the enemies the whole way. You could always get a run, as posted, and try to cap it. Thull isnt that hard once you shut down his troll and kill his friends.

It has been the hardest for me to cap yet. Or at least that I remember.

Get a Droknar's runner, or go from rankor with an R/W, take balanced stance and dodge, (charge if you have it) pick evade as well (you can cap it early on the run from a troll boss in the troll cave), avoid the heretics, keep running north, until you come to dreadnoughts drift, go back into snake dance, and WAIT for the 3 giants to go away, then look at your right, the ranger boss spawns here pretty often. Go pick him out, ignore the rest,:P boss first and cap the skill

I haven't run around Snake Dance enough to be certain, but I think that if one boss for a class spawns, then the other won't. There's a list here with the bosses in that area.

This skill was a pain in the ass to cap, Most times I went from rankor up, only to waste 30 min because he wasnt there. Good luck!

Just leave rankor and go north, and keep going, and going, and going. Eventually youll find him before the portal.

It is hard to get but it is my favorite, out of all the ranger shots it causes the most damage (savage cuases more damage but only if they are casting), plus intrerupt, and can be used with preps (barrage can't). With punishing shot I use a ranger/monk or mes spike build with a zealous string on a composite or recurve bow.

Helped a guildie cap it yesterday! I brought my prot monk, he brought his ranger (of course) and 6 henchies. Met the boss all the way up north. That was a cool run!

It's not a cool run when u do it 3 or 4 times gettin all the skills for your differant RPG chars lol. North snake dance is a great place for good elite skills. Spellbraker is up there too but i had the most pain in my ass gettin punishing shot. Very top north or he sometimes spawns very close to the entrance into grenths footprint, try running in and out of there a few times if he does spawn the first time.
